The African Women in Mathematics Association (AWMA) aims to promote women in Mathematics in Africa and promote mathematics among young girls. It was established as a non-profit, international and non-governmental organisation on 19th July 2013. One of the activities that the Association engages in is encouraging women to take up and continue careers in mathematics as well as providing an engagement platform and network for further cooperation. For that purpose, AMWA initiated a serie of monthly virtual seminar. The activity will gather interested african and international mathematicians as a substitute for the conferences which are no longer possible during the corona pandemic. We hope that this activity will survive COVID-19 and will continue in the future as well.
