Celebrating Women in Mathematics: The Nigerian Pacesetters" is the theme for International Day for Women in Mathematics 2024 by the Nigeria Women in Mathematics, NWM. An event dedicated to honoring the achievements and contributions of women in the field of mathematics in Nigeria.  The event seeks to inspire and empower the next generation of women mathematicians while fostering a supportive community for networking and collaboration.
 Featuring: Keynote Speeches by Female Mathematicians, Panel Discussion on Challenges and Opportunities for Women in Mathematics in Nigeria, Presentation of Awards and Recognitions, Networking Sessions, Refreshments, and general meeting.
 Target Audience: Women mathematicians, students, educators, researchers, and professionals
 Registration: Free registration for all participants.

The celebration was a tribute to the pioneer Nigerian Female Professors of Mathematics, featuring an award of Professional Excellence and panel discussion.  Each awardee shared their past experiences before they attained their current positions, providing encouragement and inspiration for the younger generation. The day concluded with a closing prayer said by Prof. Yidiat O. Aderinto and photographs to commemorate the ocassion.
The event was a great success, and we are grateful for the support provided by the U.I Pastor Adeboye Professorial Chair. We look forward to future collaborations, support and continued progress in our efforts to promote and celebrate women in mathematics.
